"For I do not wish to see you now just in
passing; for I hope to remain with you for some time, if the Lord permits."
I have been so blessed by God's willingness for me to remain here for some time. I am so glad that God made us to desire to have relationships with people in the hopes of being in their presence for long periods of time. I am even more glad that God allows us to develop those beautiful relationships full of love and friendship, no matter where you are, who you are with, or how long you will be there. I am so blessed to have these kinds of relationships all across the globe, and as I prepare to say "goodbye" to those around me, I am anxious to greet those that await me. I will be leaving South Africa tomorrow evening on a 6:00 flight back to the States. I cannot express the emotions that are rolling around inside of me. It's so sad to leave these people that you formed relationships with and love so very much, while at the same time, it's so exciting to know that you will be seeing your family for the first time in 2 years. Bittersweet is quite an understatement at this point.
Please PRAY: * For my final goodbyes; that they would be sweet and
full of love (and that maybe I wouldn't cry so much...).
Please continue to Pray for the Tswana people and the missionaries here who strive to reach them with the Gospel of Christ. Pray for wisdom and guidance for Stacy (as she exits next month), for Mary, Paul, Lesley (as she moves to Rustenburg in December) and the Putman's as they work to bring Christ's hope and message to the lost of Rustenburg.
Thank you so much for all of your love, prayers, and support over the past two years. You have all truly been with me in ministry as you have prayed with me and encouraged me and loved me during this time. I love you all and thank God for you! In Him, 9/20/2008
